so, has anyone asked the mods to make a COOKING sub section in the general discussion area?

I think it would be a great way for people of different cultures to share part of themselves with the group!

tired of the same old honey glazed chops

apple pork chops

6- 4 oz boneless pork chops
1 1/2 tbsp dried rosemary
1/8 tsp salt
3/4 tsp black pepper
1 medium red apple, peeled and chopped
1 cup golden raisins
2 tsp olive oil
3/4 cups wine or apple cider

1-coat both sides of chops with cooking spray ( pam)
2-combine rosemary, salt, pepper. rub mix evenly on both sides of chops
3- cook apple, raisins in hot oil in large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often for 5 minutes. add 1/4 cup wine, stirring constantly until most liquid is evaporated. add remaining wine and cook 15 minutes or until mixture is thickened

4- cook pork chops in a large skillet with cooking spray over medium high heat 5 minutes on each side or until done. top with apple mixture.

each chop is a low 286 calories

i wouldnt do that. if you wrap it in tinfoil you will get a boiled flavor not a baked flavor.

baked potato
prick with fork
place in oven and cook for an hour or until tender. no tinfoil

i sometimes also add kosher salt to the outside before cooking

twice baked potatos
prick it
bake for an hour
cut in half and scoop insides into bowl
add whipping cream, butter, salt, pepper
bake for 15 minutes
top with cheese and bacon or whatever you want
