Does anyone/everyone understand the new Ebay rules/policies that are due to take effect at the end of May ? Has there already been a thread on this ?

Sellers must allow Paypal to automatically debit their accounts and maintain an escrow amount in their Paypal account to cover any and all buyer disputes. Any thoughts ?

Supposedly members all got emails announcing the changes but if you are like me you just trashed another ebay email. It is being actively discussed on the ebay forums and their was a seller boycott that started on May 1. You tube has a lot of seller generated videos about the changes.

i always keep my account at 0 too, and just watch my linked checking account to ebay for when they go for seller fees.
i went to wachovia and made up a checking account just for ebay/pp. Would never ever link them my main checking account.
Once a auction is done and the buyer gives me a positive feedback i pull that money out asap.

Yes, it will be great for the buyer but for every buyer there is a seller and therin lies the rub.

The new rules combined with enforcement of rules that have been in existence but not enforced will drive many smaller sellers out of the trade.
