I wonder why they went to such lengths to capture the realism and detail, but left out the genitalia.....

Nice concept and execution - Medusa is sculpted like a "real" woman, and not a comic ideal. Great stuff.

The larger than life full size one in NYC has been criticized for having the genitalia so maybe they shied away from it? But its been criticized for much more too. For the price I wish they would have as much detail as the original piece.
