I wondered what these would look like facing each other, like you might display along a wall, but now I realize they look best when side by side, circling each other.
Watching the two chase scenes, one after crashing the plane and the other along the fence, there doesn't seem to be a moment where it kicks its leg so far back that the underfoot faces up. I do wish they'd lower it, something like this:
Or even an in-between, doesn't have to be quite that low.
Still, I think it's the best Spino out there and truly jaw-dropping to see in person. Noticeably bigger than the Rexes.

I actually love the way the leg extends back. Feels like even though he?s heavy, he?s actually fast. But still feels balanced.

I agree.
I don't really collect JP III big statues, only exception being the Pteranodon on PO because that's just too perfect to skip it.. but I can't stop thinking about this Spinosaurus now.
It just looks so damn stunning, visually I legitimately prefer how this looks to the original 1:5 scale piece at ILM ffs..
Seen a render of this piece next to the Rex, I've put in on TV and made the Rex true to real life size using the female ECC 1:12 as reference.. ----ing hell this Spino isn't just insanely beautiful but absolutely massive as well. I can't pass on this.
Made claws color closer to the original design:
No big deal imo. In terms of design the current Orosco version might even work better.

I honestly love the claws. All dinos have the same color claws so a bit of change doesn't really hurt it. I'm pretty sure they'll fix it tho.

The color needs to be accurate, especially on that color base as current color blends in too much.

ECC makes the best of the best and is expensive...the color of a nail should be as close to the film version as possible.
