The Favourite (2018)
8/10

Period drama that turned out to be way more entertaining than i had anticipated.

Highwaymen (2004)
3/10

I fail the understand the 5 star ratings on the DVD cover.

The opening moments feature lots of still frames flashing on the screen, which felt cheap. Things do improve, but only slightly.
While there is obviously a sizable budget in place, i could not get past the two lead characters James (Jim Caviezel) and Molly (Rhona Mitra) who come across as wooden.
Rhona proably got the part as she is attractive. On the acting front, Will (Frankie Faison) offers some relief, as he is half decent.
The script is really weak, and felt off most of the time, which isn't helpful for the actors, as their dialog sounds forced.

If car movies are your thing, there are many more better options out there, including:
Dual
Christine
Death Proof
Drive
The Cars That Ate Paris

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning - 9/10

Great ending to the series (if it is the last one). Fallout is still my favorite of the series. Was telling my son last night that I saw the first one in the movie theater when I was his age.

Deadpool 2 (2018) DVD (Theatrical Cut)
4/10

Deadpool 2 (2018) Blu-ray (Super Duper Extended)
8/10

Lastweek i picked Deadpool 2 on DVD for small change, as my Deadpool 2 Blu-ray is stored in a box (since the move).
Lastnight, i kicked back and popped the DVD on and wondered what the hell was going on?

Where was the line:
"@nal bleaching party." ?

Where was the moment Deadpool plays dead behind the bar near the beginning?

Why was the Tokyo bathhouse fight cut down to near nothing?

The movie contines like this, so i had a Google around and sure enough, there were two cuts released?

You guys proably knew this, but lastnight i discoveed something new. It goes without saying, the theatrical cut is not worth watching.
I wonder how many cinema goers viewed the theatrical cut, unaware there is a longer cut featuring many more jokes!?

I streamed Deadpool 2 on Disney+.
The film lasts 2 hours and 1 minute.
Is this also the Super Duper Extended Version?

The DVD has a run time of 113 mins

I just Goggled the run time of the Super Dupa Cut/Extended, and the run time is allegedly 1hr 59mins

There is more to it than simply being longer. I have read that a song has been swapped for a different song. Lines of dialog are different. Two differwnt cuts for the same movie to achieve different Certs.

28 Years Later - 8/10
Feels like I waited 28 years for this sequel. Solid film. Interesting commentary on how the world will overrun you with crazy, and how adults never evolve past their children's shows. Too bad the next movie is directed by the woman who made the Marvels and that horrible Candyman remake.

I enjoyed that movie, but that last 90 seconds seemed like a different movie. The tonal shift was jarring.
