Hi friends! I'm back again in the forum. This time I want to share my photos from Indonesia. I was working here before for 5 years but was not really into photography. Now I got the chance to come back and I swore to revisit those places.

Hope you'll enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Borobudur Temple in Central Java, a 9th-century Buddhist temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Candi Prambanan is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound in Central Java, Indonesia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia, and one of the biggest in Southeast Asia.

Pacu Jawi or Cow race is an annual event held in Padang, West Sumatera. The 'jockey' hold the tail of the cow to steer and races are held in a muddy rice field.

Istana Basa Pagaruyung, or the Pagaruyung Palace is the most recognizable icon of West Sumatera and is declared as a UNESCO Heritage.

I found out the hard way that it is very gear dependant. Gear that I don't have...hehe. I took over 1500 shots for my F1 shots, less than 30 shots were good enough for me.


I like your wide angle shot! Tokina 11-16mm f2.8?

Yeah, in my limited pgotography experience, the best for action shots is the 70-200mm f2.8L. Good news though, I think you don't need IS for sports photo. Because it's so expensive.

I am using the Canon 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM. It's an EFS lens hence I kept my old 550D. But mostly I use 5DM2.

At the background is Mount Merapi, one of the most active Volcanoes in Indonesia.
