Crayola Added the 5lb silly putty again

For those who wanted to use silly putty for masking on statues, Crayola redid the site and finally added the 5 lb brick of it again to the site.

ya its a lot but if you know someone to go in on it with saves a lot.

It would be nice if they did a 2lb block.

i called them and asked last week when they didn't have the5 lb up, they said thats the only one they will do. and they won't take special orders.

still best to just buy it since they stuff lasts for years and or find another painter to go in on and split it in half.

When you use the silly putty to mask and you get paint on it, can you re-use it again? Or do you have to throw that bit out??

You can re-use it as much as you want

Just clean it with a little water from time to time

i been using the same stuff for 6 years now.

just when it gets super old and lots of paint in it, it becomes the crappy pile i use for when i want to throw it out after using harsh stuff.

i like the cleaner stuff for certain paint apps that can pull the paint flakes out of the silly putty onto the paint. So i have 3 different tubs of silly putty.

1 is semi clean to new.

1 is used but still ok for most paint apps

1 is the crap pile thats been over used and almost brown from all the paint. i use this stuff for the harsh rattle can enamels that i will just throw out afterwards.

so 5lb will last a long arsh time
