Why can't we get this in the 1:1 size?

All the gadgets would be SOOOOO cool...

It's a real shame that this has never really been offered in an accurate 1:1 droid.

I guess it's finally official - the R2-D2 statue has been canceled.

Thread should be renamed "1/6 R2-D2 Statue RIP"

I guess now we know why Sideshow went the ABS route. Getting precision polystone casting was probably not feasible.

Artoo is probably the easiest statue to create. You can't tell me they can't produce one without the gadgets bells and whistles. It's ridiculous, five frikken years we gotta wait to get nothing when they could have just released a regular version and saved us all the trouble. I'd have been happy with the first one knowing the features version aint possible.

Here! Here! I don't need a holographic Leia or a pop-up lightsaber or any other things that come out of Artoo just the plain ole statue. Come on GG. It's the only classic character missing in the OT needed in the 1/6 scale.

This is an idea of Kicksplode.
See golden trooper mini bust.
He came up with the idea to put a base underneath the R2D2 from another factory.
This is how it looks like now.
Thank you GG for years of waiting.
So much other products coming by,but what realy matters get's not the attention it needs.
