Marvel Zombies - your thoughts?

I never got around to reading the various minis and one-shots... any opinions on them? I suppose I can't go wrong with the first two minis by Kirkman and Phillips, but I never saw this storyline as something that'd be worth reading in its entirety.

I've enjoyed many of the mini's. I know the 1st couple were great ... but then the slippery slide downhill commenced. I remember a 1-shot, Halloween one that was fantastic. Bottom line ... Some great, some blew.

Once Kirkman wasn't writing, garbage.

Didn't these begin in Ultimate Fantastic Four?

Yes, and the recently released "MZ Complete Collection volume 1" includes those UFF lead-in issues, but I can't figure if they were ever collected in the earlier trades.

Thanks for the replies. I was considering picking this up since I finally got around to grabbing the second Walking Dead Compendium. It got me in the mood for more zombies!

I'm pretty sure the FF stuff isn't in the MZ trades. I can double check.

It was the only real reason to read Ultimate FF; and it was fun, at first. Got worse by degrees as it went. I have, but didn't bother to read, the later miniseries...I think I was only buying them for the Suydam covers!
