Rates went up - now it’s $500 pencil/ink and $650 with tones. Between this and MO/check only I’ll pass.

Increased rates and straight cash homie?
Yea, no dice. I was thinking about biting since I think I didn’t make the Dodson Top 20.

I just signed up. Ron Garney has a solid rep and I've been wanting something new from him for awhile.

I heard it’s not only Squirrel Girl, but Squirrel Girl standing over a beaten up, big green dude.

Mmmhmm. It’s odd to me when artists are hesitant to use PayPal, especially if I offer to eat the fees. (not saying Garney in particular, just a general statement)

I'd say it's likely because Paypal has very little protections for sellers. I have a friend who has stopped using Paypal due to having been robbed via Paypal abuse when Paypal sided with the buyer regardless of the mountain of proof that the buyer was lying. My friend had signature confirmation from the USPS literally signed by the buyer that the product (a craft in this case) was received, and Paypal still refunded the buyer the entire purchase amount of over $100 due to the buyer saying they didn't receive the package. She stopped using Paypal that day and now uses Venmo I think.
I know I only use Paypal if I'm sending money as a direct result of her experience. If I'm ever selling something online again, I'll likely be using a different service.

Well that is just crappy business by PayPal! I appreciate their willingness to stick by the buyers, but that is certainly not ideal for the sellers.
Is your friend aware that Venmo is operated by PayPal? I use both services, I just didn't know if she was trying to avoid PayPal out of principle to spite them
