Arrow Galactus Mini Bust - IN HAND PICS/REVIEW

Gentle Giant was kind enough to provide Statue Forum with one of their 2013 SDCC Exclusives to un-box, snap some quick photos and do a little review of before the Convention.

This is the Galactus Mini Bust
  • This "Mini-Bust" isn't so mini. Clocking in at almost a foot high its considerably larger than your average Mini Bust. GG's website has it listed at 11" but its actually 11.5" high.
  • The bust has a nice weight to it. Feels very solid and is quite stable.
  • The paint app is very well applied. Lots of detailed shading and is a great representation of the classic character.
  • As you can see it comes with a miniature pewter Silver Surfer that attaches via a cosmic vapor trail that encompasses his master.
  • The clear vapor trail comes in two pieces that attach to each other then attach to the underside of Galactus' right arm and the backside of the base.
  • Neither the arm or base contact points are visible from normal viewing positions which is nice. The design works well and the effect conveys a fluid sense of motion.

Overall this is a cool, well executed piece with a creative design concept that should please fans of Marvel's Cosmic characters and Mini Busts collectors alike.

Nice! I'm sold lol. Really appreciate this. I was on the fence about this. But it looks a hell of a lot better for actual in hand pics. Such a huge Mini Bust. Thanks

So to whom did GG send the bust to, Scott? Your house or Drew's

And do you guys get to keep it? Like at the Statue Forum secret clubhouse or something?

Not bad for a bust this size. I was critical of this piece when first showed but I don't have a Galactus in my collection so I may get it.

I rather pay 120 than 800 for maquette or 400 bowen full size.
