Hey Fro. I hope you are doing well. You're welcome. If you ever want to see anything newer from GG, let me know. We always take pics and put them up on our FB page because we hand inspect everything now. This statue is pretty big in size and has nice weight to it. Especially if you compare it to the Black Widow or Deadpool Collector's Gallery Statues. If only the base lit up on this one was well.

So there was an original with a light up feature? Can someone give me a link or point me in the direction to see the difference please. Thanks

Nevermind I found one, it has a small red button behind him on the base that lights him up. Original has a ES of 5000 while this new one has a ES of 1500.

Not okay to do this 2nd edition release that is less dynamic than the last release. Making the edition size smaller doesn't make up for it. I was so close to buying this and now won't because it doesn't have a light up base.

Its me or the helmet is way too big versus the body and the shoulders width?

Looks in proportion to me. I think it's a case of not being used to seeing Vader with his shoulders slouched given he's kneeling.

It's also a smaller scale than the original version. They're not just doing a straight-up re-release.

Wow so even more crap to pile on. GG really messed up on this one. I ain't buying it no matter what, I want a light up floor like the original one. 5,000 made so eventually somebody will give it up.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

There are comparison pics of the 1st and 2nd Vader statues on Rebelscum. I think the 1st one with the light-up base and being 1/6 is really cool, a very creative pose from Gentle Giant, like they used to do before. Kneeling ESB Vader 1st edition remains one of the statues that despite the higher edition still commands a nice price.

The original's head seams a bit smaller.
