I’ve pre ordered it too. The car is a different design to the breakout Explorer though I’m noticing.

I just hope they can get the weathering/ageing as close to the prototype as they can and we don’t end up with just brown brush splodges.

I feel like the Iron Studios Jurassic line is way more creative than the Prime1 stuff, even if the Prime1 stuff is higher end.

Prime1 does seem higher end, but the Iron Studios line is fun, I love dioramas with humans and dinosaurs, having iconic scenes from the movie. Hopefully they'll continue this with The Lost World, JP3 and the Jurassic World movies, but my main interest is JP, so I'm very happy.

Yup. For me it's about the dioramas that Iron Studios are doing. I think Prime1 only has one statue in the Jurassic line with a human character.

Yeah, the human/vehicle dioramas are what sells it for me. If you’re into the dinosaurs alone, you really can’t beat Prime 1.

However, I’m looking forward to the full reveal of the Prime 1 TLW two t-Rex and Mercedes diorama.

Yep, and as i missed out on the Iron Studios Rex set A dio, i'm hoping Prime might do their own version of that scene. But i guess it's more likely i'll get the set A on the aftermarket some day.

I think i'll order the new Prime1 smaller rotunda Rex, that one works well on its own with the banner, and i think the Rex looks more movie accurate than Iron Studios. Plus it's another classic scene.

Ready to ship!

I wonder how the final piece looks, especially the weathering on gbr Explorer. I hope it’s not just brown brush marks

Someone on Facebook uploaded photos. They also said it was the same size as the previous 1/10 Explorer.

It’s nice that they have both of the back tyres missing… wasn’t that an error in the movie that the wrong tyre was missing?

The statue looks very good. Nice details, and a nice link between the two trilogies.
