The tailoring and clothing details are better in this one than Queen's. Plus, I like that it isn't such a rigid pose. But as always, the portrait makes me hesitate. I think Queen wins, but JND's looks close enough that I wonder if, in person, it would actually look even more accurate.

I now know from the experience with Indiana Jones that it's absolutely pointless in expecting them to improve it. Queen's head sculpt looks much more like how I remember Viggo's appearance as Aragorn. JND's is missing something, that's for sure

Harsh

So many people in their FB group are just something else. Im talking delusional levels. They’re on another AND on another level of fandom. It’s creepy and almost like a cult. The pedastal they put JND on is so high that they can do absolutely no wrong. The mind control machine they have over at JND is ELITE

Well, whatever product is shown at the time of order is what people should expect will be delivered. I would hope people ordering are happy with what they're seeing.

I wouldn't spend the price for this. I don't think the likeness is above 70%.

Harley 2.0 is my minimum expectation from them on actor pieces now.

Oranges to apples. Guts was one of its kind and perfectly executed. Definitely one of their best pieces.

This one has a lot of competition and is subpar.

The whole speech "Economy and space should not prevent you from collecting" shows how out of line JND is. And with these low ES, JND will not care about likenesses or feedback anymore.

Exactly, but now with the low ES, they know they will eventually sell out. So why bother aiming for >90% likeness?

Despite all of this, they are still struggling to sell out this Aragorn with only 299 pieces.

Yeah, I've said this before, but anime / games, etc. like Guts is where JND will find their best success. And by that I mean when you're fully sold out everywhere well before release.

They need to have hits like that, the actor likenesses are just too mixed for these prices that they're asking.

You can tell the massive difference between this and Guts, especially with Aragorn coming so soon afterwards.

I think 299 pieces was too high for this one, especially with the likeness not being there. Even if the likeness was better, they still might have struggled to move it since Queen released one at the exact same time.

I can foresee this sitting at retailers just like Arwen, unfortunately. And that's not a good thing.

We know that Queen already has a killer 1/3 Gandalf lined up. I'm not sure if JND will be able to compete with that one. Even the diehards can't keep the dud releases afloat.

Yeah, JND better put their A-game for Gandalf, that one will be hard to beat.

I wouldn't say the likeness is terrible, but obviously not perfect. The only Aragorn I have seen that looked perfect is from Inart, so the statues are all off to a certain extent. My gf has seen the movies enough and isn't hardcore into studying likeness and she thought the JND looked good. It has been proven time and time again that not everyone sees these likenesses the same

InArt 1:6 scale figure (third) has better likeness than the statues in larger scale, IMO. JND has once again failed to produce convincing human likeness. This is just as bad as their John Wick.

The Queen 1/3 doesn't look bad in that comparison (at least from that angle). I'd say it's the second best of the bunch.
