Wow, as much as I don't collect Bowen anymore, would be really sad to see it end,Maybe he is going after DC....?

Nowadays, I feel more comfortable with 1/6 and 1/7 scale pieces though. I find their size more convenient for display and for my budget.
I had a similar experience. I started collecting mini-busts in 2004 (the Spider-Man trio being the first), but quit after buying about 30 in 2005. I only picked it up again with the 1/6 scale FS by Kotobukiya and later on Bowen october of last year. All my mini-busts sold for like 1/5th of the prices I paid for them, but the 1/6 scale pieces seem more steady when it comes to value. 1/6 scale pieces are indeed easy to display, and more friendly on the budget.

The allure for most collectibles tends to dissipate after awhile. Bowen hit a home run with the mini-bust line but they are a thing of the past for most collectors. There are still the faithful ones that are not ready to let it die a painful and lonely death though. These collectors are always asking Randy to complete their sets (same as on on the FS statues). I personally like and collect the newer Gentle Giant's Marvel mini-bust line. I prefer their art, quality and size over the Bowen's. I am also looking forward to the upcoming PrototypeZ DC mini-bust line. You know that I love Erick Sosa's art, Pym.

Rocky's Vault seem to be undercutting the secondary market prices. A shame I can't order there, being abroad, and I have to pay twice the price in some cases..............

With all the merchandising that I see with Marvel stuff slapped on I would think that Marvel/Disney would be willing to hand out licenses. I hope they are able to iron out whatever they need to but it would be a real shame if Randy had to end it all.

Years ago I said that if you are collecting this stuff as an investment or even to sell for a significant profit please invest in something else. You should collect this stuff because you like it and it is only valuable to you.

True indeed. I only collect because of my love of comic books.

Only 1 statue left for Bowen to ship (Mojo). Is this the end of a great line? Can't believe the license renewal is dragging on. Looks like I won't get a Jubilee. Bet the other forum is going nuts.
