What the hell is Sam Raimi doing? He's busy making the 3rd "sure to be a hit" massive Spiderman blockbuster. I surely trust his judgement on how to make a movie and who to cast in the roles more than a bunch of comic geeks on a statue forum.
From a Spiderman perspective he's batting 2 for 2 in my opinion.

agreed , sandman not the most interesting character to hold the audiences attention for that long.
maybe the last installment could be a sinister six story line
