I first met James back in 2006, when he came to a convention in Dallas. He signed a couple of pre-printed images for me, and at the time, I thought that was the last I'd see of him. But as the years passed, he kept showing up, and so did I.
Now, I'm not a rich person by any means, but I did manage to get two individual sketches done, for me by James personally. The first is meant to depict his main character Eric as a prisoner, standing against a prison wall (he'd later comment, "What was I thinking when I did that wall?").
The second image was done from a suggestion I gave him, but I left it rather vague so he could make it a little less commercial. I wanted a lady pic, but not overtly sexualized (I'd seen him do nude sketches before, and was trying to avoid that). So, I suggested a woman on top of a church, possibly next to gargoyle...and this is what he came up with.
Personally, I'm happy with both of these; what do y'all think?
