This is awesome news. A great pick for a CBM as the character is very unique and "can" have widespread appeal if done right. SHAZAM has always had the potential of being a character vehemently embraced by children. I hope that they keep his innocence and downtrodden status. Reading between the lines I truly feel that Harry Potters humble, if not miserable, surroundings and upbringing is what part of the far reaching appeal of that character is/was.

This could be really great. I always thought this would make a good movie. Hopefully they get a good director and writer behind this.

agreed MM. i think it would have the potential of being a great move too. i juts hope they dont use the new 52 costumes..lol

Agree 1000%. That's why I can't believe that nothing's been done past the TV show.
I've seen this guy come up on forums and such when discussing a possible Shazam movie. He definitely looks the part:

yeah thats a great choice for Shazam. def better than the Rock as Sonic was speculating.
he does look the part. 6'4 too boot. too bad they couldn't have cast Superman like this..
