Honestly at this point i think Kinetiquettes are it for me, they are doing the look right, i'm not a fan of Terrys pose but i'll get over it as everything else for me looks so good.

I don't like anything Sosas sculpted really so PZ really aren't an option for me.
Really? that new Akuma inhand is insane. I would love to jump in on that K Terry Bogard but I’m at a bit of a loss for a statue 1 meter long. Maybe Mai will push me into it if it isnt too late by then.

I think she looks good, but I get if people aren't as on board with the larger anime styled eyes.

I thought I had read that hmo was making their statue based on this pic:

Which I think would have been an amazing pose to go with. The pose they choose is ok but I basically pictured that pic in statue form with their real eye tech. Now THAT would have blown me away!

Maybe you mean the other Mai statue? Looks similar to the art you posted.

I don't follow kinetiquetts so I didn't realize they were making one. Haha!

I thought it was just hmo and infinity. And I thought someone in this thread said hmo was basing their statue off of that pic. Which I think is the best pose for Mai and I was excited.

It's not that the pose hmo choose is bad, it's just not as epic!

But the face is lacking for sure.

And yes I just checked the kinetiquette thread and that appears to be the Mai to beat. Based on the pic alone.

I don't know what it is with HMO female portraits but they don't appeal to me. They all have that silicone / too much plastic surgery appearance.

I wasn't a fan of Morrigan's portrait at first but it turned out great and its starting to grow on me. I'm regretting passing on it as I decided to wait for F4F but I'm not sure if it will ever happen anymore considering their new edition size standards.

I’m surprised this is from HMO, after being mostly impressed with their Morrigan.

I'd have to agree. Definitely expected a far different statue then what's been presented so far. I'm definitely happy to give them the benefit should they improve upon what they showed. Mufizal just seems like an amazing guy in general.

However,

I find this piece way below the standard I've been seeing with hmo compared to Morrigan and mega man x and zero.

The face, to me, is just not good, I find her body and pose just decent, and the mirror base non-exciting.

I just expected something different coming off the ingenious that is Morrigan. But I feel let down in almost all aspects of this statue.

It's not that I think hmo isn't capable, far from it, it's cause I think hmo is FAR more capable.
