The Favourite (2018) - In early 18th century England, a frail Queen Anne occupies the throne and her close friend, Lady Sarah, governs the country in her stead. When a new servant, Abigail, arrives, her charm endears her to Sarah.
This is the most conventional of the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed movies I've seen, but some disturbing elements are still present. There has been much talk about the closing scene and what it exactly means which I found to be well done. 8/10

I enjoyed the non-stop 80s music, overwhelming at times though, still brought me back, which is what I expected was the point.
Story was thin, could have been a good half hour shorter, the teenage rom-com stuff was just drug on too long.
That being said, please, for the love of god, give me two hours of The War for Cybertron or The Fall of Cybertron. Seeing the G1 characters was fantastic. The seekers in their Cybertronian ship form 'triangles' was great. Too bad the triple changers reminded me so much of the bay-formers.

Vice (2018) - The story of Dick Cheney, an unassuming bureaucratic Washington insider, who quietly wielded immense power as Vice President to George W. Bush, reshaping the country and the globe in ways that we still feel today.
There were a few laugh out loud moments in the film which contrasted sharply with other truly frightening scenes. I see why Christian Bale won the Golden Globe for his portrayal of Cheney--and also why he thanked Satan for the inspiration. 7/10

Replicas. A generous 4 out of 10.
I'm a sucker for Keanu, so I went, had the entire theater to myself. Was nice to be able to play on my phone during the boring parts. I played on my phone a lot.
Gave it a four because they went a few places in the plot I wasn't expecting, so that was nice. An easy pass though, you're not missing anything, especially if you've seen Minority Report and I, Robot, it basically was a rip off of the two.

Green Book (2018) - A working-class Italian-American bouncer becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South.
This is an extremely pleasant film, however, the Hollywood award formula used to make it was very clear. 8/10

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.
