Seeing as Moffat wrote some of the darker pieces that are fan-favorites (Blink, Family of Blood/Human Nature, The Girl In the Fireplace), I have nothing but high hopes for the show with him at the helm.
It promises to be a good ride.

Paul Cornell wrote Family of Blood, but Moffat did write the brilliant Empty Child two parter.
"Are you my mummy?"

Huh. On Moffat's IMDB profile, he's credited as a writer on Family of Blood/Human Nature. Weird. Maybe he was just an assistant or something.

That's a good question. I would guess some time in the fall, since the new season hasn't started officially over there, yet. I think we're supposed to get some new episodes of The Sarah Jane Adventures soon, though.
I could be wrong about that. I freely admit it.

Sarah Jane is OK.
I'm still wondering why Sci-Fi didn't pick up Torchwood.

Bear in mind there is no "series" as such this year, rather four special length episodes, to be aired in the UK at various dates yet to be confirmed through 2009. Don't know what this means for US transmission (or a DVD box set for that matter).

Just read on Outpost Gallifrey that hyperactive, rubber faced comedian Lee Evans will be starring in one of the specials this year. Cool!
Also, the Doctor meets the Bionic Woman (well the actress that played her anyway), in the Easter episode about a bus trip into danger.
