I'm working with Marthin to create a separate side-by-side comparison and explain the changes we made and why we did it. In general, the improvements include engineering stability of Spider-Man, having more focus on him and we've streamlined the villains' elements in the base to help keep packaging and shipping costs lower. Noted also on the paint which we would review. The previous battle damaged Spidey mask has hexagon textures in the eyes but it has been removed as we want to avoid being too close to the movie versions (We are still very classic comics fans). One cool thing many don't know is that we have a total of 3 heads for this piece, and the one that was not revealed at the con is the Romita inspired version (cool classic!). Stay tuned for more photos!
Nice!

It will be cool to see the side by side comparison.

I think the changes are really well done. The modifications to the power pole, simplifying the base elements and improved anatomy on Spidey seal the deal for me. Also, that Peter portrait is outstanding!

I'm going to pair with the PF which I think is one of the best Spideys ever made.

I like most of the changes, and do think it looks much better than last year. But, I'm personally not a fan of the fact that the Doc tentacles are a permanent part of the base. I personally think the switch out villain parts on the old base was a brilliant design choice that they, sadly, have now gotten rid of.

I won't be getting this, as I like my SS PF better (the comiquette too, but sadly I don't have him anymore).

I think the updates are nice, but there is a big thing bothering me about the Peter/destroying mask portrait.

Why is there a hole that is perfectly mad around his mouth and nose, but there is still a part wrapped around his chin? The mask doesn't work like that. Peter rolls the mask up from his neck to over his nose/mouth. I can understand doing a destroyed mask, but the execution isn't 100% there. Also, if his mask is ripped, you could make him look a little more attacked.

I can cut a lot of slack with masks, but Spider-Man's mask is classic and timeless with how he puts it on, takes it off, and where it attaches to the rest of this suit, and how he can lift it up to eat/drink/kiss.

I think it looks okay, but I can't settle for okay at XM prices.

It's very similar to how the mask was in his final battle with Green Goblin from the Raimi movie. It's the only thing I really like about the statue.
