Beside the sculpting technology advances day after day as you look at the pieces of ten years ago and of now the changes are huge. So every now and then selling few statues is just means catching up with new improvements of sculpting like digital sculpting and printing.

The same here, i have space for 3x 1/4 scale statues, and i have on order 3x 1/4 scale statues and 2x 1/3 statues. That's without the new Black Widow, Wonder Woman, Red Sonja from Sideshow. 3 statues i'd like to order. I'm selling anything ;D

Well I’ll be buying a much bigger house at some point so I’ll just keep stocking up. Plus I’m not married so I don’t have to worry about any of that stuff.

Being here in California, I pay sideshow high shipping plus sales tax so I buy on ebay at MSRP from an out of state vender offering free shipping. Never had a problem. Reward points would not even touch the savings I get from going this route.
If it sells out, then I am out of luck, but with edition sizes so high these days, that does not seem to happen often.

Is it really that bad? I’m in California and I think shipping was $23 for my last PF.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Yeah but you have to pay around $50 in taxes on a $600 statue... Add another $25 or so for shipping and your already saving around $75.

$75 here. $75 there. It adds up surprisingly quick.

In California, if an out of state vendor doesn’t charge you sales tax, it’s considered a “use tax”, and you’re supposed to declare it on your state income tax return at the end of the year. Most people don’t, but in the event of an audit, it would come up.

In short, if you’re going by the letter of the law, you’re paying sales tax either way.
