Finished the last issue and, wow, what a disappointing turd of a series. The first issue started off so strong and it just died a long, slow, painful death.

The last three "events" have all bombed: Age of Ultron, Infinity, and now this.

Yeah ... you're right. Just kinda puttered out. I was hooked, but by the end was quite underwhelmed. I'll agree with your "turd" comparison.

I had really high hopes for this series - it started off so good - but the last issue felt like a series of let downs

I feel this could have been much better if it turned out as planned. I read somewhere that Infinity wasnt supposed to be a series. I think it was supposed to fall in line with Hickman's Avengers run, and Marvel pushed for it to be a series as opposed to part of his ongoing. It takes away from both the story itself, as well as Hickmans overall flow on the Avengers books.

Infinity was supposed to have been two separate storylines, with the space stuff happening in Avengers and the Thanos invasion happening in New Avengers. You can tell from the way the two halves of the story barely intersect. Marvel wanted to build an event comic out of it, and as usual, once they get in that event mentality things start going wrong.

Mind you, I liked Infinity, but I think it was structured poorly.

I thought it was the best of the last events anyway. I wasn't satisfied with the ending . Nick Fury assuming Uatu's roll just seems kinda stupid. I like what this will mean for the Winter Soldier and his new series. Overall it had good art but the story floundered for me. I surmised early on that Marvel was trying to take the original Nick Fury off the table and this series was the catalyst. Actually what they did to Dum Dum Dugan was even worse than what they did to Nick. Seeing the Orb a D list Ghost Rider villain thrust into the spotlight was pretty cool though.

Just read Thor God Of Thunder # 25 and I want to know what the hell happened in Original Sin with Thor that as a result he's not worthy anymore to lift mjolnir......or is it because of the events of Uncanny Avengers, the Saga of Kang and the Apocalypse's twins?

Thanks.

Nick Fury whispered something in Thor's ear in Original Sin #8 that made him lose control of Mjolnir. Whatever the secret was, Thor only became unworthy after he heard it, not after he committed whatever sin it was.

Right, so at this point no one beyond Jason Aaron or the editorial geniuses at Marvel know the reason. Aaron has said that this, along with who the new female Thor is, will be explored in the new Thor series.
