BTW this is why people with restricted breeds should have their dogs muzzled in public. Do not give anyone the chance to claim the dog would have bitten them.

Or even better don't bring your dog around crowds.
Even well trained horses in parades get spooked or whatever and do things they wouldn't normally do.
I'd never bring my dog around groups of people humans have way too many germs

I have no problem with pit bulls getting killed. Sooner or later these aggressive dogs for drug dealers and tough guys will harm someone!

According to this article this guy was neither a tough guy or or drug dealer so your point is misguided. People own Pitbulls not only because the love the breed but also through a common belief that the breed can be rehabilitated through socialisation and breeding. Don't forget it was man that breed it for fighting not the other way round. Where they are letting themselves down is not muzzling the dogs in public. It removes the risk of attack and biting.

Of course there are people who act like they are gangsters with their dogs but that is a different topic.

This is tragic, no matter what happened it's fair to say the officer could have handled things better-at the least some training.

I thought police avoided shooting dogs because the bullets can sometimes exit back at them?
