I very distinctly remember saying that exact same thing (and I'm not even Jewish) as I stood in a comic book shop years ago holding the Mignola Batman B&W. I so completely screwed that up.

To each his own. This figure has zero appeal to me, but that Mignola decision haunts me still.

I collected the first few years of B&W then had to stop after I got divorced. I back collected a good chunk of them and have bought almost every new one the last few years.

But this is an easy pass for me. Too weird for my taste.

Well, if you really didn't care for the Mignola statue, why does your decision to pass on it still haunt you?

The last one to sell on eBay is only like... 225.

80 bucks in 2006
225 bucks in 2017

Now had you picked up a copy of Walking Dead 1 and decided against it back when it came out, then yeah i would def. understand that haunting decision.

I only have the black bases, so one with a white base would irritate me.

And "haunt" may have been an overstatement. Probably if that statue hadn't really taken off in the aftermarket I wouldn't even think about it, even though I rarely sell anything. But I also I think Mignola's style has grown on me over the years.

My point was, the Mignola statue was definitely a marked departure from the look of the the B&W that came before it, very unique in design, like this one. Turned out many really liked it. I failed to appreciate the style early on. There are so many great Batman B&W statues that's getting one that really looks all that different is tough to do.

Yeah, I get that. Our preferences change after a while and we start appreciating things we thought ugly before. Having said that, I don't know if i'll ever appreciate this one:
