They were talking about that in the live stream. He's powering up his right hand.

When I first saw this on the SS site, I thought it was animated. Mayhe it's just the head. It's not bad but I don't know if it would fit with the rest of my DC pieces.

Gotta be honest, I never was a fan of sideshow's powered up overspray look. It never quite looks right IMO.

Yea, if they wanted to show him powering up his right hand, then they should've implemented a low glow coming from his palm via internal LEDs and slightly transparent palm. Otherwise no painted on effects.

Don’t really collect DC except for Bats and Superman. I can’t just buy every statue that looks cool. I’m still waiting for a Superman I love. Batman too.

Looks decent. “Safe” interpretation due to the pose but sculpted well. Doesn’t look big enough compared to Superman but the PF was way too small so this is definitely an improvement.

Again, needless use of the Maquette label. It’s just a standing figure. Nothing dynamic here. Nothing innovative. Among the larger characters in museum poses it makes no sense who gets Maquette and who gets PF. But whatever.

I hear ya. I just hope the EX is an alternate right hand holding a Mother Box.

I like him. I think I’ve hit my limit with cosmic characters (Surfer and Hal GL) but I’m glad they are concerned with getting things looking right....for the most part.

Cool

I like the power up effect paint application. I think it looks good and have no problem looking at it and inferring what’s happening.
