It's insane.
I had something similar happen with a $3 code. It said it was added to my account, but it never really did.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Wait... were these codes $2.50 or $0.50?

In previous years weren’t they throwing out $4 and $5 codes 3 and 4 times a day during sdcc? I remember getting $40-60 annually in codes.

I don't even bother chasing the timed codes anymore. They are so few and far between, and worth very little. Was a lot of fun while it lasted though.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

I can't complain. Got around $50 worth in codes last SDCC and $65 during spooktacular. Missed maybe one or 2. So it can be done.

Not anymore. It seems like they scrapped the old model. So far this year if you somehow managed to snag every code that was available for about 2 mins each, you would have a whopping $7.50. That’s not worth the time it takes to type the code.

Well, to be fair, they've also lowered their retail prices dramatically so those measly $2.50 codes really represent-

...Oh wait.

Nevermind.
