Thor has been the best Marvel book(along with Daredevil-Waid & Samnee).
You may pick up Thor God Of Thunder too(Aaron first run-Epic stuff)
Thor God Of Thunder # 1-25
Thor # 1-8
Thors # 1-4
The Mighty Thor (current run)

Does that run lead up to Thor becoming unworthy? I know they have not said exactly HOW Odinson has become unworthy but I like when things link together.
Side note: I HATE that series keep getting renumbered/restarted because I lose track of what connects/continues storylines. I loved walking in and knowing I needed Uncanny X-Men 365, picking it up and walking out!

Yeah it does, kind of, like you mention, it is still a mystery how Thor became unworthy.
You won't regret to start from the beginning with Thor God of Thunder, that cover EPIC stories like The God Butcher and The Last Days of Midgard which links to what is happening now in Mighty Thor.
And I totally agree with you, it is hard to keep up with the constant renumbering, that's why I put the list to follow in that order.

Supreme: Blue Rose tpb - In the mid-'90s, Alan Moore transformed Rob Liefeld's Superman knock-off into one of the best comics I've ever read. Now Warren Ellis takes it a step further. I've heard mixed reviews, so we'll see...
Captain Canuck: Aleph tpb - The CC revamps I've seen over the years were pretty awful, but this one looks like they put some thought and effort into it. Plus, with Leonard Kirk on art, I feel like I must give it a shot.
