Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

So I was told by the support people from Linksys that I need a port number from the Xbox people. Anyone have a Linksys wireless router? Anyone know anything about a port number? They claimed it was for security purposes.

Hey, mine did the same thing!!! Just plug in the wireless adapter, then unplug the Xbox, and plug it back in, and all should be gravy! Mine's worked ever since. I wsas really frustrated at first though, and felt like a complete moron, after the simplest thing (which by the way was the last thing I tried), worked after I spent an hour testing my connection from my desktop, to my laptop, and making sure there were no obstructions...just unplug it, and plug it back in!

I have a linksys and don't have any problems with it....have you run a check of your connection on the xbox yet?

Its just that So many 360 units have crashed or pop'd a fuse, or what its called.

I bought one of the launch units and it crapped out on me around August. The console stopped recognizing the controllers, so I contacted Microsoft and they replaced the console. Now the replacement console is freezing up all the time, both during regular games and arcade games, and that's assuming it doesn't freeze during the boot-up process. Looks like I'll be contacting Microsoft again.

I have freeze up problems when I play NCAA Football 2007. It happened one night and the system didn't work for an hour and a half. MS will have you send it in, but all they are going to do is wipe the memory. They said it was a cache problem.
