the Jade Monkey's Sickness

Greetings, everybody. I've been lurking on here for a few months and thought it was time to introduce myself. It's nice to meet others who share my addiction.

It started for me on Christmas in 2012. I've always been a pretty big Batman/Comic nerd, but little did my wife realize the monster she would create when she bought me this..

3 months, 22 Batman Black & White's, a couple of Bowen's and a Koto later, it had morphed into this..
March 2013

Did I stop there? Would you?
April 2013

By August, my sickness had consumed the entire living room..

For Christmas 2013, my wife surprised me with this!

This was at the end of December

And this is what it looks like as of Today

I also figured out a cool way to mod the Detolf's to give you an extra 1” of clearance. All you need is some clear PVC hose and some hot glue. Works great, nice and solid and almost totally invisible unless you're looking for it. It gave me enough clearance to fit Sandman, Smack Down Hulk and a couple of other Bowen's that were just a bit to tall.

I'm about to swap out all my Detolf's for Besta's, so I can Fit all the PF's that are on pre-order. I'll post pics when that's all done.
As far as the Besta's are concerned, I can't decide between the white or the black. I'm leaning towards the white, just because the room is pretty dark. Any advice on the matter would be appreciated.

Thanks, guys!

( I apologize for the photo quality of this post. It's hard to buy a fancy camera when you spend all your $$ on statues)

Nice collection but I would be affraid of the up-load-tube-solution. I saw at another forum this solution:

I guess thats a better way if you can find some kind of such... But I can not say where to get this. But I think its possible to customizing such bridges.
You dont lift the plate up... with this you lower the plate down.

I tried something like this at first. But I live in an old pier and beam house. The wood floor under the carpet tends to bounce when you walk on it and it was causing the shelves to sway and slam into the glass sides. These have held tight for a year now with no worries.
