I actually don't mind a scaled down version of Preacher. Garth Ennis had a tendency to zoom right past my tastes and comfort zones with some of the more intense elements of his storytelling style... lol.

I was a bit wary before seeing it, but I really enjoyed the pilot. I hope they can keep the same pace throughout the season.

Pilot was pretty average. I enjoyed it but question if it was compelling enough to entice those that aren't fans of the comics.

Man, I really wanna like this show, but so far it's been slow and a bit boring to be honest. They could be doing so much with it, but seems like they're just bogged down with making Jesse seem like a legit preacher. Nothing seems to be really happening so far. I hope it really picks up soon..

Not sure what they're thinking rolling out this slow with all this fluff when the core narrative is so rich. I hope the series survives and we actually make it to the compelling aspects.

I'm very disappointed with it. My friends insist that I "can't appreciate a good story", but what story is there to appreciate? It's been 4 episodes and I can count on one hand the number of exciting things that have happened. Most of them came in the first episode. Other than that, there's been Cassidy with the chainsaw, Jesse and the pedofile, and that's about it. It's moving at an incredibly slow place and it doesn't have to be.
