Spoiler........
I was upset when they killed her but am glad that they brought her back and I love her new origin. What is a Sh'iar Golem though? Is this something that is new or have we seen it in one random X book over the years

IMO - yes. Refreshing to have a solid single series. I will reserve judgement on the other titles as they come out.
Just be sure to read HoX and PoX in the recommended order.

You read all of HoX 1st or is it 1 and 1. then 2 and 2? If so I bet they will publish both as one book.

I sure hope they put it all in order in one Omnibus. Would only make sense.
HoX 1
PoX 2
HoX 2
PoX 2
PoX 3
HoX 3
HoX 4
PoX 4
HoX 5
PoX 5
HoX 6
PoX 6
I’m thru all that’s been released so far. I think it’s brilliant what they have done with Moira. I’m also really enjoying Silva’s art in Powers.
And HoX 4 is the tough, touching story telling of vintage XMen.

I just finished reading the entire HoX/PoX series this week.
I love it. The art and design are stellar. The story is total bonkers, but I love it.
One of many highlights is the mutant council putting Sabretooth on trial. Wow, was he angry, haha.
I'm very much looking forward to the 400-page collected hardcover this Christmas. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2019/09...her-ten-bucks/

Haven’t read a single page of this run. Would fans of the mid-late 80’s X-Men like this?

Mister H, I read X-Men from #94 to #390 and then I just had no love for reading them anymore. (I also read the adjective less title and X-Factor ) There was about 10 plus years that I did not read them. I did start back a few years ago and I was apprehensive about Hickman taking over because his Avengers run seemed to needlessly go on. After reading both House of X and Power of X, I feel this 12 parter was on par with The Dark Phoenix saga. He add stuff to existing continuity but does not ignore past continuity. This series definitely can be embraced by both old and new fans alike.

If mid/late-80s X-Men is the only era you like then maybe it won't appeal to you. I think it's a radical reinvention of the X-Men like Grant Morrison's run.
