Why would you pick the smallest of the original Mythos to compare it too, and the one that was undersized to boot?

In regards to the overall presence of the piece maybe, but in terms of actual scale they look dead on. FYI Ventress is actually slightly taller than Maul.

Till now the best looking Mythos statue with Boba (although I was a bit disappointed of his paintjob).

Boba was great but to me Obi-Wan was hands down the best of the bunch. He really embodied what the Mythos line was all about. A statue that really told a story. Rich with fine details that you could analyze endlessly. That said, Sideshow dropped the ball by not including his saber hilt. The piece also had it’s share of QC issues with some portrait paint apps coming out cross-eyed and a handful having an unnatural lean to them.

Fett had the most issues. Both of the switch out guns had a lot of warping to different degrees, and the e-11 is also warped. The base is also terrible in design and paint. I like my mythos fett but it's not amazing compared to some other statues. And the old mythos line was pretty good at showing how little SS care if they can get away with it.

I didn't like Obi as much as you but bought it on the second round with the intention of selling it later for a healthy profit which I fortunately did. The missing saber wasn't the only issue, it has that weird lean as well which certainly is not supposed to be there. I do regret not getting the guard though. I also somewhat regret not picking up a repainted vader when I had the chance. I don't like the mythos vader much but someone had repainted almost all of the terrible lava glow and added some silver lining and it looked great, and when he was selling it I waited too long to pull the trigger.

I'm thinking it's going to be the lightsabers.

Every Statue for us in Canada costs about 1k now. It makes me really have to love a piece before I buy it.

Thanks didn't know this. I can see a lot of collectors going back to collect the older mythos piece now. I'm tempted myself to look for maul, Fett, Vader and the pig warrior.

I think the original Mythos line is still the best Star Wars statue line ever produced. It's no wonder they fetch such a high value in the aftermarket. Boba Fett and Obi Wan are still my two favorite. If you can find them for a good price, go for it!
