ECC will be at Monsterpalooza in June so I expect they will have a lot of new pieces to show.

Hmm. Bit too small and casting too smooth.
Lot else looks quite accurate. Going to take some work to get the hair like the advertised pictures.

in the ECC FB group. The hair looks super frizzy and cheap to me. It just doesn't have that alive feel that a bust pushing $2k should have. The main face color looks flat, no depth. It's not close to the real costume. The horns look pristine, almost plastic looking. Considering the creature is super old, it doesn't fit. I would've loved for this bust to turn out better, as I wanted it and the maquette, but major disappointment for me.

I was a huge fan of this film, very under rated for sure. BUT, everything you just listed as wrong with the bust I have to agree with. EVEN the other busts that were made from the movie just did not look good. I WOULD normally be all over these, but for the price, they need to be better, especially the painting. EVEN IF a bust is flat or doesn't have the texture it should, you can do wonders with the right type of experienced painting, or airbrushing. SHAME!

Can't find the pics in the ECC group. It's the one with Li Li as a moderator, right?

At this point in the product cycle I mainly compare production releases to advertised prototypes. That is all that can be hoped for at this point.

The hair for sure looks frizzy. Dare I say the eyes look spot on.

Now Pale Man is pretty terrible. No one should accept that bust.

it's almost like they had a ton of leftover material from the penny-wise statues and said let's cut corners here. The eyes and base look fine, but I'd be unhappy with the rest of it at that price. Hopefully, the maquette is done better.

Glad I didn’t preorder this or the maquette, the downgrade is pretty unacceptable imo. Especially on the maquette, the difference from proto to production on the hair is totally different color and style.

Hmm I don't think satisfactory factory results are really possible any more on super high end pieces.

It takes superb paint jobs and pristine details to get collector's attention for the prices now and getting good results is just down to pure luck.

QS is doing the best right now when it comes to busts imo. Their Venom, which is cheaper than Faun came out amazing. Now that's how you make a piece look alive.

Was considering this piece, but that YT production piece video vs. the prototype are night and day different.

A real shame...
