I think the realtor is right . . . you want your rooms looking light and spacious for prospective buyers. Besides which, people cant help themselves . . . they'd be picking up pieces and touching everything, unless of course you plan on standing in the corner of the room with a baseball bat

Attics should have exhaust fans for when it gets too hot.
Safer to put them up there than in a damp basement. Although, as long as you keep the silica bags in with the PFs, they shouldn't get moldy.
