Agreed. I understand delays (especially in a pandemic), but when you announce release and ship out the full size version whilst delaying the bust you kind of lose any faith.

Not even sure I want the battle damaged bust anymore, the proto is so much superior compared to the final version. I find it odd that this doesn't get any critical attention like the Alita/ Wonder Woman Batman busts.

Yeah I mentioned it myself before that production version has no where near the amount of battle damage the proto did. It’s the first bust they’ve released where they didn’t meet proto levels of quality. I plan on adding the missing scratches etc. to mine it should be fairly easy to do.

any US collectors get theirs yet? man the waits killin me. and yes what makes it worse seeing all the low quality complaints from other collectors. oh boy.. pray.

Usually companies' measurements are a tad too large.

Hearing buzz the the production busts (of the battle damaged version) are nowhere near the prototype?

I havent heard or seen of any US owners yet.. but yes after such a long wait, if mine arrives less than perfect I think I will lose my $#!+.

These are pretty much representative of the production busts that I’ve seen





The finish isn’t that bad but compared to the original renders it’s like they missed a whole stage of weathering.






And here’s what they said on fb about them

we had a few setbacks with the MK50, we can't deny that. But for the MK85 and Rescue bust, we will have moved production to our own factory to make sure that they will exceed expectations. For customers that have had a bad experience with the MK50, we have already started to make ammendments and improvements for busts that have defects

To me it sounds like they just fixing problem busts not improving the finish of the battle damaged bust (though I hope I’m wrong)
And still no real reason given why there’s been such a long delay.

Did anyone ever get their “clean version” of this bust from Spec Fiction? Last time I messaged with them in December’20, they thought it would ship in First Quarter 2021, but I haven’t heard anything since then.
