I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

It was finally released in the UK last Friday. Controls took me a bit of getting used to, trying to climb up the Colossi was hard at first, but it should be a struggle. Interesting game, great aesthetics.

Only real letdown is the packaging-its carboard rather than the usual DVD style case, which doesnt wear so well (My ICO in the same type of packing looks a bit worn)

I was looking forward to this game a lot as i Loved ICO, however, i've been playing ot for and hour and a half and i have already defeated 4 of the Colossi. Yeah it's nice to look at and the atmosphere is great but i want gameplay and if the next 14 Colossi are the same i.e.
1) look for it.
2) Figure out weakness.
3) Kill it

Then i can see this getting repetative where are the other enemy if any?

The whole game is about storytelling, ambiance and visuals. Great, unique game. Even if the action is repetative.

Same can be said about God of War for that matter. Same thing all over again. Still, that was also an amazing ride. The whole story was an amazing thing to go through. So will Shadow be. Don't discuss this game, play it !!!!

I think there is a certain purity of vision to the game, that it hasnt got all sorts of filler in it

There are no other enemies so to speak. You have to beat the 16 colossi. They actually are not that hard to beat once you get the hang of it.
The ending of the game is a treat though and I can't say it was all that unexpected, but it's worth fighting through all the big guys.

Bumping an ancient thread -- I have never played this game, but hear amazing things. Does anybody have the remastered version for PS4?

Thoughts on the game in general?

A masterpiece, but very distinct gaming experience. Minimalist, boss fights only, with haunting visuals and gorgeous music.

Best way to play

1. PS4 Remake
2. PS3 Remaster
3. PS2 Original

The biggest knock was the frame rate on the original, which remaster and remake have resolved. Rare game I've beaten three different versions and never regretted it. I'd suggest the Last Guardian if you enjoy Shadow of the Colossus.
