I don't buy to sell, but why would anyone be "ok" with knowing you could have bought something for less $ weeks or months after receiving it?

defies logic in my opinion.

It's a gamble really. You don't always know if you will be able to get something cheaper down the line, or if you will be paying more. Most people just want to ensure they get it early on so they don't have to gamble. At least that is how my thought process works :P

How does that defy logic, it is literally how most of the country spends money daily.

Think of anything, movies, video games, video cards, cars, clothing etc.

Everything comes out, people buy it, weeks or months later they go on sale.

I would argue there is an inherit difference between purchasing a "collectible" and something that i can get at walmart.

I buy a car or TV knowing full well that it will instantly be worth less than I paid the minute I leave with it...but I would still be upset if I saw it for sale a few weeks / months after my purchase.

Exactly these are collectibles I use them like a savings account which I can look at.

The moment they begin to lose value the moment I purchase them like a TV or a car then forget about it I am out!

The word "Collectible" does not mean "appreciates in value" or even "holds value" though.

Nothing is ever a guarantee anyway and something being on sale after a purchase, unless you buy it on a sale, is going to happen.

Letting things like this upset you or even have a hold over what you buy and when you buy it in my opinion sucks the joy out of buying these things and the reason for buying them...to enjoy them.

That, in my opinion, is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard on these forums.
