A very satisfying cinematic experience all the way around. Unlike TFA this Episode takes the franchise in bold new directions. Plenty of twists and turns that’ll keep even the most devoted and informed fans on their toes. The stakes feel high and the scope is as epic, if not more so, than anything we’ve seen in the Saga to date. The narrative structure is surprisingly fresh as well as it breaks the established mold we’ve seen in the majority of SW films. The struggle between The Resistance and The Fist Order is fleshed out in a very satisfying manner and delivers what I feel is the best opening sequence to date in the entire Saga. While the direction the characters are taken might not be to everyone’s liking you can’t deny the development is solid and unlike anything we’ve seen before. This not only applies to the new players but Luke & Leia and even our comprehension of The Force and the abilities tied to it. The amount of ground and material covered in TLJ makes multiple viewings much more appealing than TFA. I’m really looking forward to seeing it again.
For reference this is where I rated the last two SW entires...
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens - 7/10
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - 9.5/10

Glad to see you enjoyed the film, HB. When I came out of the theater one of the first things I thought to myself was "Hellboy will definitely enjoy this one". I know you had your issues with TFA, but I thought this film definitely went in the direction you seemingly wanted.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi ??/10
I'm not sure how to rank this movie just yet. There were some parts that I really loved, but there some parts that were just incredibly stupid. I'll have to see it a second time to try to digest everything before actually rating it.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, viewing 2.
Definitely lessened the impact now I know the beats. But still one of the best cinema experiences I've had in a while. Loved it.

Star wars The Last Jedi.
Decent , single viewing film in the continuing Saga. So much unneeded filler though. Phantom Menace still remains my favourite.
6/10

The Last Jedi 7.5/10
My rating comes after a couple days of pondering the movie and only one viewing. What I can say is that right out of the gate I like it better than TFA which I gave a 6. I think this movie has a chance to reach 8.5 for me with subsequent viewings.
As an FYI, my rating is swayed by the fact I just really don't enjoy Kylo. So for me, none of the new movies (except Rogue One) will get into the 9 range as long as he is there.

The Last Jedi 1st viewing 3/10
The Last Jedi 2nd viewing 6/10
Couldn't believe my eyes the first time.
The second time I took what I liked and left the rest.
Definitely needs repeat viewing.
