This was addressed/debated in a past thread. While I agree with your points, it turned out there were folks both on the buying and selling side of things that preferred to buy sealed statues, as it eliminates certain risks on both sides. However, I would still want in-hand pics of the statue itself. For all the complaints about PVC warping, paint rubbing on recent pieces like the Spidey PF and hollow parts breaking on Thanos, I don't necessarily trust people to store boxes in the appropriate climate or companies to package pieces in a manner that properly protects them. The seller however would be be 100% protected if you receive a piece in any such manner, so it's just sounds like an uneven risk, IMO.
