As for the "broke" statements.. when celebrities go "broke", it usually means they have less than a million or so, not including properties, valued possessions, etc.... at that point, their "meager finances" can't support the previous lifestyle they were used to.. travel/accommodations/etc...

They aren't broke, they're just not able to spend like they once did.. but then.. that's the very definition of "being broke" anyways.

Alimony in itself is no garuantee that will won't stay broke. If the stipulation in the divorce stays she gets no money and they only divide marritial assets, she'll spent that quickly because of her lavish life style.
