What if Frank Miller Did a Daredevil/Batman Crossover?

What if? Both writing and art. He did reinvent both characters and his influence on them has lasted for decades.

Would it be awesome? Or, would it suck?

If he wrote it literally 25 years ago or so, it would be awesome.
Sadly, I'm not sure he's quite as attached to these characters anymore...

25 years ago in Miller's prime it would be really interesting without doubt(as RS mentioned) and it would've been awesome with Mazzucchelli doing the art.

Nowadays I seriously doubt it....I still remember how excited I was when All Star Batman & Robin with Jim Lee was announced.....

Oh, and I still consider Miller's Daredevil>Miller's Batman.

Agree with both your comments, sadly.

So, let's say it was 25 years ago!

I'm going to guess and say it would be dark and gritty.
DD doesn't stand a chance. Batman wouldn't have much respect for DD.
He would see him as flawed, compromised, reckless, and far too conflicted.

Good breakdown, RS! I agree on all of the above--and that's why, back in the day, it would have been amazing and awesome.

25 years ago, heck yes I'd read it! This would be a great crossover; in fact, it's a shame it never happened, as it's such a natural fit.

I wonder how Ed Brubaker would handle it...

Bru would do a good job, I think. Hell, I'd probably still buy it if Miller were able to get permission. But he would have done a much better job 25 years back--less ego to get in the way.

That'd be cool too. Very different take.

Who else could do justice to an idea like this? I'd be interested in seeing Greg Rucka's take, for one.
