I agree! I was really hoping for the Varia suit as well, but considering this is the first in the line, I'm optimistic. I'm still pretty novice when it comes to collecting, but from my experience, most lines don't start with their most popular character.

I hate to say it but i think this is one of those EX or fail things.
The reg just looks weird without the lights.

Won't the exclusive look the same as the regular when the lights are off? Do you plan on keeping the lights on all the time?

It's too bad things like this don't come with an optional AC adapter so that you could just always have her on when you're home.
As for the lights in general, it's no different than a display case. Any time I'm home I turn on the lights in those so the only time you'll see a statue like this unlit would probably be when you go to sleep and when you wake up.

Sometimes, a lot of times they like to start off with it or at least a very popular character otherwise it may fail at launch but if they're looking for longevity they sprinkle in the less popular ones.

I think it looks fine, what bothers me is I think the faceplate is different. One of the images looks like a frosted sorta plastic with her faceplate when it's off, the rest look like the painted one. Hopefully it looks like the latter...

So the Regular has no light up?? Wow that's a pretty big fail, this is the LIGHT suit after all . . .
I guess I'm used to Exclusive that are minimal differences, non-essential, no light up is sorta deal breaker for a piece like this.
Glad I got the Exclusive in . . .

Not much different than their approach with Zelda. The original line started with Fierce Deity Link, a statue I'm super glad I didn't pass. The 1/4 line started with Zant. Their first major Mario statue release is Tanooki suit.
Seems peculiar choices for the 1st piece are part of the plan for the Nintendo statues. Make us wait for the main characters or traditional versions.
