Poseidon - Alex Pereira

Anyone thinks Poseidon deserves a second chance with the original sculpt from Alex Pereira?
To me, it looks way more badass than the one which was actually released.
Aside from the pose which I find majestic, it's the facial expression which seems truly spot on.
Any thoughts on this?

I always wanted that one . But was told from ARH that that one is boring. And the new one has more action. Some ARH ex sculpter said that.

I like the face better but what's going on with his back?

Also switching out the dolphins for the swordfish was a good idea.

what's wrong with his back? You mean the muscles aren't sculpted well?

I liked both and would have bought either, I will not buy both though. Not enough cash or room. For me there are certainly pluses and minuses to each. I think the Alex pose is more consistent with the other poses in the line and I think I like the head better. The Ehren statue has the swordfish which is much better than the dolphins IMO, I also like the tridents better.

Unless this sculpt gets sold to another producer I doubt it will be produced ever.

Nah this old one does not deserve a second chance! it looks very boring! The statue they released is poetry in motion and completely blows this away!
