XM jumped the shark with these new 1/7 & 1/6 statues?

I agree. XM's statues are creative. They are trying things that most companies are afraid to tackle.

My mistake. I meant 1:10th. I really thought they were 1/7th. Still a wow for me for being 1/10th scale.

1:6 and 1:7 have always been one of my favorite scales for a lot of reasons.

• Takes up less display space.
• Less expensive.
• Easier to collect larger groups of characters.
• Companies are more willing to take risks and produce more obscure characters.

To insinuate XM has “jumped the shark” in diving into this market is insane. The demand is there and this is a company that not only listens to it’s consumers but has some crazy in house talent with some truly remarkable vision. Until now I’ve mostly stayed away from collecting their product, admiring it from afar due to size & price. Not anymore. These lines will thrive.

I actually don't think any of your points hold true for this 1:7 scale line man. You may still be on the sidelines.

-Bases look to be large and intricate, taking up 1:4-sized space in some ways.
-These 1:7 appear to cost what the 1:4 have been costing, from early pricing I'm seeing.
-Collect larger groups? See point one.
-Character variety? This has held true with XM regardless of this line.

EDIT: Just realized maybe you're talking about the DC 1:6? I'm not following that one, so don't know it's details...my comments apply to the Marvel 1:7 line though.

Yeah I’m referring more to the 1:6 DC pieces. The Marvel Impact series are basically dioramas with huge footprints. Still, I love the scale and they’d likely blend well with some Bowen collections.

The 1/6 scale is great. There’s already a precedent. Not sure about the 1/7 scale though but if the pieces look amazing enough, people might be willing to add another scale to their collection.

1/7 impact, 1/6 marvel, 1/6 DC, samurai batman, 1/4 marvel, 1/3 marvel, aliens, predators, transformers. Their time, focus, energy and quality control must now be spread along 9 lines.

The only thing that xm is the bar for is quality (control) and packaging.

The 1/7 line doesn't make sense to me. If you wanted to make smaller and affordable pieces for collectors, then why are they created in a way that will cost people near $1k? That's kinda silly.

Juggernaut 1/7 is around $800 USD. I don't care how awesome it is, that's absolutely insane.

I would buy a SS pf in a heartbeat before i spent 800 on a 1/7, yeah way too expensive.

I don't mind bases beyond a flat black disc, but if the base starts to account for 30-50% of the cost it just seems like a waste of resources. That's my sense with those 1/7 Marvel pieces they showed off.
