The only ThunderCats comics I got to read as a kid in the early 90s was through one pocket comic book published by Marvel UK, which was available at one of my local libraries.
After nearly 40 years the library closed down last year and most of their comic collection was already gone when I got there during closing week. But I managed to find that one ThunderCats comic book (from 1990) along with another Thundercats comic special from 1986. (I also bought some Peanuts, Hagar the Horrible, and The Three Investigators books).
Unlike MOTU which was airing in India since mid 80s and had MOTU toys being manufactured (which I also collected), Thundercats was not aired in India, hence no toys or merchandise. I saw the cartoon through VHS tapes from the video library around late 80s.
So even having a piece of art of the ThunderCats insignia was a rarity. So me and couple of my friends had traced the black and white logo from the opening of the pocket book. We then got that pencil sketch photo copied and hand painted it. That final piece of logo artwork is long gone.
But last year it was a treat finding the traced pencil markings on the logo in that same book after nearly 33 years. It was also colored by one of us using sketch pens to match the logo colors at the top.
