Yeah I can relate, when I first started collecting some of the female statues I got the same teasing from family and friends... One of the reasons I never displayed my Koto Bishoujo collection... Although it turned out I made a nice profit reselling those statues, not that I was looking to make money on them but it just felt silly displaying them as they look more like something that a 15 year old girl would display in her room... It's a bit creepy when a 38 year old male displays them
If the female statues are movie based you can usually get away with people thinking your just a movie fan, if their scantily clad female comic book statues people sometimes view you as the lonely single guy who's a bit creepy but if your lucky they'll just think your a hardcore nerd
