I also felt the same about Klauth until a saw productions photos and the grossly obvious seam lines of the wings at their connection to the body. Nice statue but that was huge issue for me. I just hope they improve that with Tiamat.

I also love dragons - and this looks like an amazing piece. But, at that cost I would have to de-prioritize other fine statues....
Ultimately, I can scratch the Dragon itch in my other hobby (miniature painting and wargaming) - so no big loss I guess.

My collecting days are winding down as is. The Prime 1 Lotd of the Rings pieces (I know, I know, you hate them) scratch one itch, and XM finally releasing a Drizzt solves the others. Once I get him? And the Fellowship and Saruman from Prime 1, I think I’ll be done.

Don't play the game, but I hate the random assortment of color necks coming out of the red body. Just looks a little off-putting.

 it's true.
.....but, if you want "consistent" 1/4 LotR then they're the only game in town. Everything else at 1/4 scale - upwards is vapourware and rainbow candy.....looking at you Infinity and Darkside.
WETA, apart from being 1/6 - in my opinion, are generally terribly painted. Although enough people rave about them, so maybe it's just me.....
So, while P1 are the bottom of the barrel (IMHO) - I can't fault anyone shopping there if it's the only (real) option.
