Hey Sam,
You ought to come visit Oregon this weekend.
Local 4th July Celebration will have a pie eating contest.
I entered it once about 15-20 years ago.
Almost won.
Didn't win, but gotta eat pie.
I guess it's not so much eating, just smearing all the filling out of the pan.
